Teaching Staff

We are dedicated to offering high quality arts and craft education for the Cadillac community. If you have a skill to share, we want to hear from you. We are always looking for teachers willing to share their talents in the areas of the visual arts, performing arts, music, reading, writing, etc.

Choose how you want to submit your proposal below:

Someone from our programming staff will get back to you. Expect to possibly provide additional photos of the project you are proposing. We thoroughly vet our teaching staff and volunteers for the safety of our students and staff.

This W9 Form will need to be filled out and submitted to us before your first time teaching each year. You may print it and bring it with you your first night and/or day of teaching. Teachers making over $600 in a calendar year will receive a 1099 from us for you to use in preparing your taxes.

Teacher Fees

We are dedicated to paying our teachers well for their talents and time.
Teachers are to provide UNA their required minimum base pay for each class on submitted class proposal.

Teacher Provides All Materials:
Teachers will then be paid their required minimum base pay or 70% of class revenue, whichever is greater when they provide all materials used in class.
Teachers may add and collect materials fees in class from students.  Teacher pay will remain at their required minimum base pay or 70% of class revenue as long as teacher is providing all materials used in class.
Teacher must include what the materials fee is and what materials student will receive for this fee on their class proposal. Materials fee will be displayed on class listing on Website and other social channels.

Up North Arts Provides All Materials:
Teachers will be paid their minimum base pay or 50% of class revenue, whichever is greater if UNA provides all materials used in class. Teacher may not collect any additional fees in class from students. Leftover materials remain the property of Up North Arts.

When class is scheduled we will let you know by email.  Information will then be given to proper media for advertising your class.  You are encouraged to recruit students on your own too. The deadline to sign up is usually one week before classes start.

We are excited to work with you!  The programming committee will do their best to schedule the dates and times you have requested.

If Cadillac Public Schools is closed due to inclement weather, the center will be closed and classes will be cancelled too, unless other arrangements have been made.  We will reschedule the class in cooperation with you.  Students will either be refunded or choose to attend a rescheduled class.
